Chapter N's Commitment to Safety

Any intelligent motorcycle rider understands that they are, by their nature, more dangerous than a four wheel vehicle.  So are airplanes, boats,  bicycles and doing anything more strenuous than hiding in a fallout shelter.  That being said, if we want to continue to have FUN, we need to do everything within our power to minimize the hazards of participating in our sport.  As a chapter we can have a very positive effect on the safety of our members by emphasizing it and going out of our way to educate educate educate.

This is why we have an officer tasked with education and why we devote a section of our website to safety articles.  You won't often attend a chapter meeting without a portion dedicated to safety.

Wayne Gargus was our chapter educator up to January 1, 2008 and there is a page HERE with several articles he authored.

Jim Zabler took over from Wayne on January 1 and he has already published a safety article HERE.
